Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
Bear Path Psychology and Wellness, L.L.C. is out-of-network at this time, but is expected to begin accepting insurance in Fall of 2026.
If you have insurance, please check with your insurance company to see if you have out-of-network mental/behavioral health benefits. Dr. Kelemen is happy to provide you with a "superbill", which is a document that you can submit to insurance for potential reimbursement.
How long does therapy last?
A standard therapy session is usually between 45-60 minutes. The number of sessions is entirely dependent on your needs. Some may need only a few visits, and others benefit from several months of weekly therapy.
Are our conversations confidential?
Yes. However, there are some limits to confidentiality, which are discussed at the beginning of the first visit, and also outlined on the "informed consent" form.
Do you offer in-person appointments?
All services are currently virtual/telehealth only. In-person appointments may be offered in the future.
Do you offer couples counseling?
No, Dr. Kelemen only provides services to individuals at this time.
What does "Bear Path" mean?
It is derived from the name of the street Dr. Kelemen lived on for many years, and he always found it quite meaningful. Depending on which source you find most interesting, a bear can be symbolic of many things, such as inner strength, healing, solitude, and resilience, to name a few. As a psychologist, Dr. Kelemen sees his work as an opportunity to help others connect with their strengths, live consistently with their values, and lead their own path to wellness.
